Volunteering at Lima Memorial Helps Us Support our Mission

We are so glad you want to share your time, talent and enthusiasm with us! Our volunteers are valuable members of our healthcare team who serve in various capacities to positively impact our patient and family experience.

Volunteer Mission Statement: To promote exemplary volunteer services throughout the hospital and serve as ambassadors to the Auxiliary, helping the organization achieve its mission.

Opportunities: ANYONE can volunteer, as we have various roles available with our Lima Memorial Family! Whether you enjoy sedentary or high-activity roles, there is an opportunity for you to bring your Great Care to our team.

Schedules: Flexible shifts ranging from 6 a.m. - 8 p.m., seven days a week, are available. We request that you commit to at least one, four-hour shift each week. You are always welcome to commit to more!

Adult and College Volunteer Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a criminal record free of any felony convictions
• Commit to at least one scheduled shift a week, usually four (4) hours in length
• Agree to uphold all corporate compliance standards, follow all HIPAA policies and maintain patient privacy at all times
• Must become a member of the Lima Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and remain in good standing

Summer Teen Volunteer Requirements 

• Must be 14 years of age and entering at least the ninth grade this upcoming fall
• Commit to a minimum of 40 hours of volunteer service between May and September
• Agree to uphold all corporate compliance standards, follow all HIPAA policies and maintain patient privacy at all times

Pet Therapy Volunteers

Pet Therapy Volunteers visit patient care areas with their pets. All pets are certified through Pet Partners’ Therapy Animal Program.

Depending on availability, volunteers have the opportunity to assist in many areas of Lima Memorial Health System. Any position is guaranteed to bring a smile to your day.
